About

Level III training is mandatory for individuals seeking to become commissioned security officers, meaning those authorized to carry firearms while on duty. This training involves extensive classroom instruction on the legal and ethical responsibilities of armed security officers, including laws regarding arrest, use of force, and detention. It also includes firearms training and proficiency testing, which requires live-fire exercises at a certified shooting range where officers must demonstrate proper handling, safety, and marksmanship. Conflict resolution, emergency response tactics, and advanced security procedures are also part of this course. A written exam and firearms qualification test must be passed to receive certification.
