About

Level IV training is designed specifically for personal protection officers (PPOs), commonly known as bodyguards. This is the most advanced level of security training and includes a minimum of 15 hours of specialized classroom instruction. The course covers executive protection strategies, advanced threat assessment, defensive tactics, and close protection maneuvers. It also incorporates firearms training, emphasizing situational awareness, decision-making under stress, and de-escalation techniques. Training must be conducted by a DPS- approved personal protection officer school with certified instructors, and participants must pass both a written exam and practical skills assessment.
